Frequently asked questions

Can I get a print estimate?

To get a print estimate or quote, click on our "Print Order" page and enter information in the required fields. An estimated cost (excluding shipping) will be generated once all required fields are entered. A file upload is NOT necessary to review costs.

What is your turnaround time?

At this stage, we typically have most orders completed and shipped/ ready for pickup within 3 business days. Large or complicated orders may take longer - we will let you know via email of any delays. Urgent order? No worries! Get in touch via email, as we can offer priority service for an additional fee.

What paper option should I choose? Why should I consider thicker paper?

For single-sided prints, we recommend the standard 80 gsm paper. We use premium quality copy paper, and as it is included as standard with your order it is a great, economical option.

For double-sided prints, we recommend 100 gsm paper or higher as it is thicker and allows the printing to not show through to the other side.

Cardstock is an eco-friendly, durable alternative to lamination, and is great for flash cards, posters, or other papers that will be kept and reused.

Can I get a colour printed cover even if I order black & white printing?

Absolutely! All our black and white print orders come standard with a colour cover at no additional cost.

Long-edge vs short-edge binding - I'm so confused! Which should I choose, and what is the difference?

Totally get this can be confusing! A standard A4 piece of paper has a long side and a short side. When we refer to binding on the long edge, we mean binding along the long side of the paper. When we refer to binding on the short edge, we mean binding along the short side of the paper.

Most curriculum and cookbooks are printed portrait/vertical, and we would recommend binding on the long edge if you want it to open and lay flat like a notebook.

Some curriculum is printed landscape/horizontal, and we would recommend binding on the short edge if you want it to open and lay flat like a notebook.

Often, left hand writers have issues with binding on the left side of their notebooks. In these cases, you may want to bind on the "top" of your document.
